Aweserverless Event Tickets

The final project for Proyectos I+D at BUAP (May 2023). Title of research: Enhancing Security Measures in Event Planning and Ticketing Systems through Dynamic QR Codes.

Problem it tackles. Digital ticket cloning, counterfeiting, and reselling. The paper cites a Mexico City concert where many attendees were denied entry because their tickets had already been used, and a 72% rise in fake football-ticket scams in the UK during 2022. Most existing proposals (blockchain/NFT, SSI wallets) focus on the whole secondary-market system; this project narrows in on the ticket-composition and ticket-generation step itself.

Prototype shape. Two applications backed by an AWS serverless API.

Web dashboard: browse events, buy a ticket, manage profile. Designed for three roles (admin, organizer, client); prototype implements the client flow.
Mobile app: two roles — client (sees their tickets and renders the dynamic QR) and recorder (scans QRs at the venue with the phone camera).
Backend: AWS API Gateway + Lambda + DynamoDB + SQS, JWT for auth + CWT for tickets.

Note: I worked on research and mobile development, not on frontend.
